How to Get Plant Camouflage in Two Point Museum

The short answer

In the Campaign, obtain Sickly Pear at Allotment Labs in Bungle Burrows and analyse it. Build Mulch-o-Matic with a Science Expert, consume spare plants for Mulch, then have a Janitor make Plant Camouflage Cargo.

Campaign route through Bungle Wasteland. Sandbox unlocks differ; production costs and times are not fixed here.

Campaign unlock: analyse Sickly Pear

Progress to the opening chapter of Bungle Wasteland. Obtain Sickly Pear at Allotment Labs on the Bungle Burrows map, then analyse it to unlock Plant Camouflage Cargo and Mulch-o-Matic I.

This is a Campaign unlock chain, rather than a guaranteed item from repeatedly exploring the Prehistory map.

Manufacture and equip the Cargo

  1. Obtain the materials for the science device, including Metal and Whirlicogs, through Bungle Burrows.
  2. With its blueprint unlocked, have a Science Expert manufacture the Mulch-o-Matic in the Workshop.
  3. Place the device and feed it expendable plant exhibits to obtain Mulch. Those plants are consumed.
  4. Select the Plant Camouflage Cargo project in the Workshop and have a Janitor manufacture it.
  5. Add it to the expedition’s Cargo and check whether the relevant plant event is now countered.

The Science Expert builds the device; the Janitor makes the Cargo. Treat them as separate jobs.

If the project is missing

Check the blueprint unlock, your Mulch supply and the appropriate employee’s availability. Costs and production times can vary by build; no complete fixed materials or cost table has been verified here.

Sandbox unlocks differ. An early Sandbox account starts with metals, gears and the Mulch-o-Matic, but that does not remove the Sickly Pear analysis prerequisite from the Campaign route above.

Plant Camouflage counters only the event identified by the interface. At Numb Drop, that is a delay event; it does not replace the two MIA counter qualifications.
