Make the exhibits pay their way
Restore the starting exhibits and staff admissions as the tutorial directs. Give each exhibit group both Info Stand coverage and Donation Stand coverage. A guest being able to see an exhibit does not mean they can learn from it or donate.
Add toilets, food, drinks, seating and bins along routes guests actually use. Read guest thoughts before adding another large room.
A practical opening order
- Hire for the jobs you need now and for planned expeditions. Keep essential maintenance covered while experts are away.
- Check wages and loan costs in the finance panel.
- Read price feedback, make small changes and see whether guests accept them.
- If cash is tight, compare a Sponsorship’s payment with its negative conditions.
- Add tours, analysis and training when the museum can support their costs.
This is a suggested order based on the game’s systems, rather than a tested optimum opening.
Expand to solve a bottleneck
Choose a specific reason to build: a queue, poor maintenance, an unmet need, an objective or exhibit capacity. After expanding, check staffing, information and donation coverage, and whether the new wages have turned operating profit negative.
Avoid hiring a whole extra team just because a large room fits. Keep admissions and essential maintenance staffed when cutting costs.
