Check quality and a free slot
The checked PC references give the following exhibit slots:

You do not need Pristine quality for the first slot. Pristine is useful for a longer-term investment and for three-slot objectives, but Great and Epic can satisfy ordinary installation tasks.
Queue the installation
- Select an exhibit that supports Perks and has a free slot.
- Find an empty slot or the plus button in its Perks panel.
- Choose a compatible Perk from your inventory and confirm the job.
- Let a Janitor perform the installation.
- Check that the slot now shows the Perk and its effect.
A queued job is not a completed installation. An available Perk is also not compatible with every exhibit, machine or animal. Aquatic animals and spirits do not receive Perks in the same way as ordinary exhibits.
When nothing gets installed
Check quality and slot availability first, then the Perk’s supported object type, the Janitor’s job assignment and access to the exhibit. Finally check whether the work is still waiting to be carried out.
For an objective requiring two installations, fixing those conditions can avoid unnecessary trips to obtain Pristine exhibits.
